Deposits

  1. What are requirements for opening account with ACLEDA Bank?
    • For individual
      • For Cambodian, customers must have any of the requirements below:
        • Cambodian identification card, or
        • Passport which is valid for at least 3 months, or
        • Family book (for family leader), or
        • Family book (for family member) or residential book and also attach other documents with portrait such as employment ID, driving license, or student ID, etc.
      • For Foreigner:
        • Having a passport which is valid for at least 3 months
        • Having a residential document in Cambodia certified by local authority, certification of employment, employment contract, business agreement with a partner in Cambodia, or mission document
        • Having a phone, fax, or email address
    • For corporate/organisation, customers must have the below documents:
      • Memorandum and articles of association, business registration certificate, partnership
      • Identification document of account holder
      • Permit letter to operate business
      • Patent, VAT letter, taxation letter, or other taxation letter
      • Identification document of director, shareholders, or partner
      • Proxy letter or resolutions of board of directors or company director for account opening
      • Other related documents
  2. What is the initial deposit for opening account with ACLEDA Bank?
    • For Savings Account and Demand Deposit: the initial deposit only KHR10,000; USD10; THB400; EUR10; AUD10; CAD10; GBP10; JPY1,000; VND200,000; or LAK80,000
    • For Current Account: the initial deposit only KHR4,000,000; USD1,000; THB40,000; EUR1,000; AUD1,000; CAD1,000; GBP1,000; JPY100,000; VND20,000,000; LAK8,000,000
  3. How does ACLEDA Bank pay interest to me?
    ACLEDA Bank pays interest daily and automatically credited into your account every month.
  4. Can I close the account before the agreed date?
    Yes, you can close the account before the agreed date.
  5. If I lost my Savings Passbook, what I need to do?
    You need to inform the ACLEDA Bank nearest to you.
  6. If I have an account with ACLEDA Bank in Phnom Penh, can I withdraw at any provincial/town?
    Yes, you can, but you have to pay local transfer fee.
  7. What I need to do if my issued cheque is lost?
    Please inform any ACLEDA Bank office nearest to you about the lost cheque to prevent the cheque from being cashed.
  8. As for cheques issued by other bank and cash at ACLEDA Bank, how long it need to be cashed?
    • If bank cheques received by 8:30 a.m, it is due to be cashed in the afternoon of the same day.
    • If bank cheques received later than 8:30 a.m, it will be due in the following working day.
  9. Can I deposit cheques issued by other bank in Phnom Penh into any ACLEDA Bank branch?
    Yes, you can.

Future Kid Account

  1. How is a Future Kid Account?
    Future Kid Account defines the child's name as account name and has parent or guardian as joint account.
  2. What documents are required to open Future Kid Account?
    • Child
      • Child is under age of 18.
      • Certificate of birth or passport (with least 3 months validity) or any other identification document issued by the authority.
    • Parent or Guardian
        • Be adults age 18 and older.
        • Have an identification document such as Cambodian identify card, passport (with least 3 months validity) or any other identification document with photo and issued by the authority which are:
          • Identification document with photo issued by local authority, or
          • Family book (for family leader), or
          • Family book (for family member) or residential book and also attach other documents with portrait such as employment ID, driving license, or givernment official ID, etc.
  3. If parents or guardians are foreigners, can they open Future Kid Account? And what are requirements document?
    Yes, they can and the requirements document below:
    • Have a passport which is valid for at least 3 months.
    • Have a residential document in Cambodia certified by local authority, certification of employment, employment contract, business agreement with a partner in Cambodia, or mission document certified by underwriter.
    • Have a phone, fax, or email address.
    • Have a judgment of the court, in the case of guardians by mandate.
  4. In what currency can I open the Future Kid Account?
    Future Kid Account can be open in Khmer Riel, US Dollar, or Thai Baht.
  5. How to make deposits into Future Kid Account?
    Parent or guardian can deposits into Future Kid Account in cash/cheque at ACLEDA Bank, or cash deposit machine, or e-commerce etc.
  6. Can parent or guardian make withdrawals or payments through the Future Kid Account?
    Parent or guardian has the rights to make any transactions such as cash withdrawals, payments via electronic/digital banking system, or transfer to fixed demand deposit account as per demand.
  7. How much minimum account balance required?
    The minimum account balance for Future Kid Account is not required.
  8. Can parent or guardian close the account before the due date?
    Yes, he/she can if his/her child under 18 years of age.
  9. When can child be eligible for this account?
    When a child is 18 years old or set by a parent or guardian.

Long Term Fixed Deposit

  1. What is Long Term Fixed Deposit?
    Long Term Fixed Deposit is an agreement between a customer and the bank for the fixed deposit from 24 months with a higher interest rate.
  2. What are the benefits of Long Term Fixed Deposit?
    It benefits you as follows:
    • Financially secure and earn higher interest rate;
    • Receive a certificate which can be used as collateral if you wish to apply for short term loan with ACLEDA Bank.
  3. How to open a Long Term Fixed Deposit Account?
    First, you need to have a current account, a savings account, or a demand deposit account. Then you have sufficient balance in that main account.
  4. In what currency can I open the Long Term Fixed Deposit Account?
    Long Term Fixed Deposit account can be open in Khmer Riel, US Dollar, or Thai Baht.
  5. How much can I deposit?
    You can deposit from KHR2,000,000; USD500; or THB20,000.
  6. Can I make withdrawals before the due date?
    • Yes, you can unless it is approved by the Bank.
    • If you want to close the account before the due date, please bring along the certificate.
  7. Can I request a new certificate to replace the lost or damaged one?
    Yes, you can but with service charge.

Trust Account for Real Estate

  1. What is Trust Account for Real Estate?
    Trust Account for Real Estate is a restrictive account margin of ACLEDA Bank that customer can deposit his/her funds into this account in order to let ACLEDA Bank maintains and makes payment to beneficiary (seller) accordingly to the written instructions or the purposes of seller and buyer.
  2. What are the benefits of Trust Account for Real Estate?
    It promotes mutual trust between buyer and seller, high secure and transparency in settlement of a real estate through ACLEDA Bank.
  3. How can I get a Trust Account for Real Estate?
    • Having an account with ACLEDA Bank whether it is a Savings Account, Demand Deposit Account or Current Account
    • Filling Trust Account for Real Estate's application form and contract/agreement
    • Buyer is required to deposit his/her funds into the Trust Account for Real Estate by the date and amount agreed in the agreement
  4. How does ACLEDA Bank charge for using Trust Account for Real Estate?
    ACLEDA Bank charges with the amount of settlement below:

Trust Services

  1. What is Trust Services?
    Trust Services is a deposit service that ACLEDA Bank is responsible for maintaining, administering, and arranging customers' assets (individual or corporate) to use in specific purposes that are set forth in an agreement between customer and the bank.
  2. How many types of Trust Services does ACLEDA Bank offer?
    ACLEDA Bank offers 4 types of Trust Services such as Individual Retirement Account, Health Savings Account, Education Savings Account, and Trust Account for Real Estate.
  3. How can I benefit from an Individual Retirement Account? And what is its interest rate?
    • Individual Retirement Account is used to cover your personal or family expenses after retirement
    • Having an account with ACLEDA Bank whether it is a Savings Account, Demand Deposit Account or Current Account
    • Initial deposit and minimum balance is only KHR200,000; USD50; THB2,000 or equivalent to other currencies
    • Interest rate of 5% per year
  4. Can I make withdrawals before my retirement date?
    Yes, you can, with service charge of KHR200,000; USD50; THB2,000 or equivalent to other currencies per transaction.
  5. How can I benefit from a Health Savings Account? And what is its interest rate?
    • Health Savings Account is used to cover beneficiary's health care expenses based on agreement made in the terms and conditions of ACLEDA Bank's Health Savings Account
    • Having an account with ACLEDA Bank whether it is a Savings Account, Demand Deposit Account or Current Account
    • Initial deposit of KHR200,000; USD50; THB2,000 or equivalent and minimum balance is only KHR40,000; USD10; THB400 or equivalent to other currencies
    • Interest rate is deposit's interest rate plus 2% per year
  6. Besides health care expenses, can I make withdrawals for other purposes?
    Yes, you can, with service charge of KHR80,000; USD20; THB800 or equivalent to other currencies per transaction.
  7. How can I benefit from an Education Savings Account? And what is its interest rate?
    • Education Savings Account is used to pay for beneficiary's education expenses based on agreement made in the terms and conditions of ACLEDA Bank's Education Savings Account
    • Having an account with ACLEDA Bank whether it is a Savings Account, Demand Deposit Account or Current Account
